Our Christmas Agua de Beber roda is coming up on Saturday 3rd December and we will be raising money for the brilliant charity Refugee Youth.
Refugee Youth works with displaced young people who have sought, or are seeking, asylum in the UK. It is a youth-led organisation where young people work together to solve their problems and take action to bring about positive change. You can find out more about them here.
Lots of people in the London capoeira community are already involved with the charity, and in these difficult times, when politics seems to be pushing us to mistrust and fear people from different backgrounds, we're really happy to support an organization that helps young refugees learn vital new skills, build confidence and become leaders in their communities.
On Saturday 3rd December we'll be collecting money to donate to the Refugee Youth at the roda. And afterwards we're hosting a party at the Urban Bar, 176 Whitechapel Rd, London E1 1BJ so everyone can start to get into the Christmas spirit.
So come and join us to vadiar, dance, have fun and raise money for a great cause!
